Provide course descriptions as necessary. Basic Requirement - 1315 Degree:
physical or natural science, or engineering that included at least 30 semester hours in any combination of courses in hydrology, the physical sciences, geophysics, chemistry, engineering science, soils, mathematics, aquatic biology, atmospheric science, meteorology, geology, oceanography, or the management or conservation of water resources. The course work must have included at least 6 semester hours in calculus (including both differential and integral calculus), and at least 6 semester hours in physics. Calculus and physics, as described above, are requirements for all grade levels. OR Combination of education and experience - coursework as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. Specialized Experience Requirement:
GS09:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 grade level. Examples of specialized experience may include:
Assisted senior hydrologists by carrying out routine projects; Assisted in implementing well-established hydrology programs or projects; Helped in assessing the water resource capability/suitability and identifying goals and concerns for water resource management; Conducted water resource inventories and prepared the resulting data for application into the land management planning process. Assisting in water resource inventories following established procedures to assemble databases required to support management programs and planning. OR Successful completion of 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Master's Degree or received a Master's or equivalent graduate degree that is directly related to the work of the position. OR Combination of graduate level education and specialized experience that is directly related to this position that together meets the qualification requirements for this position. Only graduate level education in excess of 18 Semester hours may be used to qualify applicants for this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT:
If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
